John Mensah’s reported move to Asante Kotoko has turned out to be hoax.
The news went viral on social media on Sunday that 31-year-old has signed a long term deal with the Ghanaian powerhouse, which was carried by the country’s number one football outlet.
However GHANAsoccernet.com has been inundated with several calls from Kotoko officials who have denied the report claiming it’s far from the truth.
The ex-Ghana captain has been without a club since leaving French side Rennes at the end of last season.
The rugged centre-back is eager to return to the pitch to see if he can gatecrash Ghana’s World Cup squad.
