South Africa-based Ghana defender John Paintsil has promised to reward the Local Black Stars if they win Saturday's African Nations Championship final against Libya.

The Santos ace visited the team on Thursday at their hotel in Cape Town to inspire them to win the country’s first title since 1982.

"The final is the biggest and most important match and from what I have seen, I believe they will win and become champions," the Ghana international told www.ghanafa.org.

"They have to remain determined and continue to push till the final whistle

"I have been watching them since the competition begun and I must say that they have been really impressive.”

He added that: "They were based in far away Bloemfontein and I was always praying for them to make it to the finals and come to Cape Town.

“I was so happy they made it and it is important for me to visit them and encourage the team ahead of the finals."
