Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah has admitted Ghana face a ''very tough'' task to qualify for Russia 2018 World Cup but is hopeful of positive outcome in remaining four games.

Mensah was left devastated after the Black Stars played very well but failed to grind out a positive result against the Pharaohs in Alexandria.

A goal in each half from Mohammed Salah and Abdalla Saied ensured that Egypt claimed 2-0 victory at the expense of Ghana to extend their lead against their main rivals to five points.

‘’Yeah it’s very tough because we have one point, Egypt has six and Uganda has four points,’’

‘’But we have hopes because there is four more games left and we have to focus on winning game after game which will be tough,’’

‘’Egypt came to win and we also wanted to win but at the end they got the best. Ghana played very well but at the end of the game we didn’t win so it does not count’’
