Columbus Crew defender Jonathan Mensah is confident of his side's chances ahead of the game against Sporting Kansas City in the MLS on Sunday.

Columbus Crew are one of the club's to concede few goals in the Major League soccer and have been unbeaten in their last four games, a record Mensah wants the team to extend.

"Sticking to our plans, playing to our strength and minimizing the chances of the opponents in our half. We always try to work on the details that we can beat our opponents with so it's been pretty good and we keep going and we will see how far we can go, there are a lot of games to be played," he said in a pre-match interview.

Jonathan Mensah together with compatriots Harrison Afful and Lalas Abubakar have been solid for the gold and Blacks this season. Lalas Abubakar scored for the club in their victory against New England Revolution last week.

Mensah explains the determination to keep playing well and keep a clean sheet has been the main drive for the club.

"Determination, drive, focus because you are playing 90 minutes and you've got to be concentrated through out the game and you don't have to let you gut down and playing to your opponents and so that is what we doing and we keep on improving," he added.

Columbus Crew lie second in the Eastern Conference and will play Sporting Kansas City on Sunday.
