Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah visited the National Chief Imam of Ghana Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu and made the spiritual leader put on his jersey.
"I visited the Imam whom I regard as my God father…after praying me, I gave him the jersey as a gift. surprisingly, he wore it,†he told Peacefmonline.com.
The Evian TG footballer has been one of Ghana’s progressive players abroad.
He won the 2009 FIFA U20 World Cup in Egypt and has gone on to play in two FIFA World Cup finals.
