Ghana receive yet another good news on Sunday as defender Jonathan Mensah is named in Evian Thonon Gaillard squad to face Valenciennes in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday.

The 22-year-old enterprising center-back suffered a thigh injury while playing for Evian in their ligue 1 match against Lille on November.

Mensah has been in the treatment room since November and has now been passed fully fit for Evian's trip to mid-table side Valenciennes.

Evian boss Pascal Dupraz has named the 2009 Fifa U20 World Cup gold medalist in his 18-man squad for Sunday's clash.

He was forced out of last month's international friendly with Cape Verde in Lisbon because of the injury.

Ghana coach James Kwesi Appiah has named the former Free States Stars defender in his provisional 26-man squad for the 2013 AFCON.

With John Boye also returning to training for Stade Rennes, Kwesi Appiah is likely to have a full house for the pre-tournament camping in Abu Dhabi.

Evian's squad: Laquait, Durand, Dja Djedje Cambon, Mensah, Lacour, Angoula, Mbarki Sorlin, Koné, Ehret, Tié Bi, Govou, Rabiu, Nsikulu, Adnan, Sagbo, Khlifa.
