Ghana defender Jonathan Mensah has promised to fight hard to break into the Evian Thonon-Gaillard starting line-up.

The 20-year-old signed a five-year deal with the newly-promoted French Ligue 1 side this summer but he is yet to play a single match.

His switch was hotly contested by his parent club Udinese but that was resolved making him eligible for action.

Mensah bidding his time and will make the most of any playing opportunity that avails itself.

''I am still working hard so I can impress when given the chance to play,'' the centre-back told GHANAsoccernet.com

''There is no problem and everything is fine in France and I am sure I will eventually get the chance to play.''
