Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is confident of making an impact in the English Premier League despite his difficult start to the season.

The 23-year-old is yet to hit the back of the net since his summer switch to Aston Villa.

References have constantly been made to the impressive start of Andre Ayew at Swansea as Jordan continues to find his feet at Villa.

But the former Olympique Marseille youngster is confident he will be up and running soon once he settles down with all the other new signings under Tim Sherwood.

"Me and the other new boys are still adapting ourselves to the Premier League," said Ayew.

"But given time, I am confident I will do very well for Aston Villa.

"I feel with a lot of new players we are doing well. You need some time to get to know each other.

"Playing in the Premier League is the best thing in the world.

"The intensity of the game here is incredible. That's something I have really noticed."
