Jordan Ayew credits Marseille boss for his rising form

Jordan Ayew has heaped praise on Marseille boss Elie Baup for his growing confidence with the French Lique 1 outfit.

The 20-year-old has improved tremendously this season where he has scored fives time for the French giants.

The Black Stars striker, who was nearly sent out on loan at the start of the season, has attributed his resurgence to the  leadership of coach Baup.

“He's come in and brought an air of calm. He's worked a lot on attitude, and I think it's reaping its benefits now,” Ayew said

“I'm improving slowly, as I have done under various coaches, but the coach now tries to give all the forwards confidence.

"I'm a striker. That's the position I prefer. If the coach wants me to play on the left or the right, I do it. I'm not saying that I absolutely want to play through the middle, but I prefer it.

“I can also play on the flanks though. I'm available for the coach, and he makes the decisions.''

Ayew is expected to play for Ghana at the 2013 African Cup of Nations to be held in South Africa.
