Jordan Ayew has praised the 'quality' of the local league having witnessed the Super 2 clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

The Ghana striker was amongst some distinguished personalities who were present for the thrilling 1-1 draw at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Jordan was in the company of his brother Andre and Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan for the return leg of the pre-season friendly.

The two Ghanaian giants sold out a highly entertaining game on Sundaydespite failing to pull the crowd they did last week in Kumasi.

Jordan, who was witnessing his first ever Hearts-Kotoko game says he was impressed by the quality on display but urged the fans to backup in their support for local teams.

"This is my first time watching a Hearts-Kotoko game and I really liked it," the Lorient striker told MTNFootball.com.

"Kotoko played very well in the first half and in the second half, after 70 minutes I think they got tired.

"But 1-1 was a very good game but we need to back up on the support.

"There is quality in the local league and I think we need the supporters to come to the stadium.

"The league is good and you have quality players so we need to backup the support."

Jordan is in town with the entire Black Stars team following their 1-1 draw with Guinea in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier played on Saturday.

Ghana will be hosting the Syli National in the return encounter of the Group E clash in Tamale on Wednesday.
