Ghana striker Jordan Ayew was shortlisted for Sochaux’s Player of the Month for January.
However, the 22-year-old missed out on the award to Zambia defender Stopilla Sunzu.
Ayew finished in third place behind Frenchman Sebastien Corchia in the three-man race.
A statement on Sochaux’s website read: “With 26.2 per cent of the votes, he is slightly ahead of Sebastien Corchia on 23.7 per cent, while Ghanaian striker Jordan Ayew completes the top three with 13.4 per cent of the votes. The Zambian has played in all FC Sochaux games since he joined the club during the winter transfer window."
Ayew is on loan from Marseille and has made five appearances in the Ligue since joining this January.
