Jordan Ayew’s manager at Aston Villa Tim Sherwood admits he is having sleepless nights with the poor form of his team in the Premier League.

Villa are enduring one of their worst starts ever to the Premier League campaign with just four points to show in eight games.

Tim Sherwood’s side slumped once more again before their home fans with a 1-0 defeat to Stoke City.

Villa signed several players including Jordan Ayew during the summer and its taking them too much time for them to start playing as a team.

And manager Tim Sherwood who enjoyed a good run when he led the side to escapade the drop last season admits times are not rosy.

“I was having sleepless nights last year when it was going all right - I think it's just part and parcel of the job,' he said.

“It's 24/7 this job. I've got a family at home and they realise that this is me for now. This is my job.'

“I can understand the frustrations 100 per cent. If I was a fan I'd probably be frustrated as well.

“I have to tell them that trying to be a manager and trying to put it right is frustrating also.

“I've worked with managers and I've seen it's ups and downs.”

Aston Villa will be making another dreaded trip to face out-of-form Chelsea after the international break.
