Ghanaian defender Joseph Adjei and his Cape Town City teammates will share US$ 150,000 for winning the Telkom Knockout.
This was confirmed by owner John Comitis after their 2-1 win over SuperSport United on Sunday afternoon.
"It's fantastic. The boys played fantastic football and they really deserve [the R2-million]," Comitis exclusively old KickOff.com
"The coach has worked so hard and when you see this kind of performance on the field, you have to be happy when they win," he added.
Adjei was an unused substitute as the City Boyz triumphed at the Peter Mokaba Satdium.
