AshGold midfielder Joseph Ato Bissah says their 3-1 victory over Asante Kotoko in the Otumfuo Cup was reward for their hard work this season.

The Miners won their second Cup in ten days after accounting for Asante Kotoko 3-1 in their own back yard to lift the Otumfuo Trophy.

The victory was a welcoming one according to midfielder Ato Bissah who has seen his club break a 19 year jinx to win the league title this season.

“During the season we lost two times to Kotoko in the FA Cup and a league game,” Ato Bissah told Allsports.com

“Those loses hurt us a lot so we were just looking for the opportunity for a revenge and we had it at their own back yard so winning against Kotoko and also lifting the trophy was a sweet revenge for us and reward for hard work
