Retired Ghanaian referee Joseph Wellington will represent West Africa at FIFA’s referees’ instructors meeting in Las Palmas in Spain which began on Sunday.

The 43 FIFA member meeting involving referees instructors and development officers will be reviewing the FIFA laws of the game and also access the readiness of the selected FIFA referees for upcoming world cup in Brazil.

“I believe it is an honor for me and will make sure to learn different things from this occasion to benefit refereeing in Ghana,” Wellington told Asempa FM before his departure on Friday.

“Many may wish for this so if I’ve getting this opportunity, I will go and prove my wealth because is my life”.

Wellington is a CAF and FIFA referees’ instructor.
