Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah is optimistic the Ghana can swiftly improve their fortunes in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Black Stars have made a poor start in Group E as they lie third on the table with one point from two matches.

Ghana are five points behind leaders Egypt and two less than second-placed Uganda.

When the qualifiers return in August this year, the Black Stars will host Congo.

''In football you can’t say everything is over because there are lots of surprises in football,'' he spoke to Soccer Laduma Radio.

''For the previous years playing the World Cup qualifiers Ghana has been so good, this time around things are a big difficult.

''But still I know we are not going to give up, Ghana is a very good side always trying to go to the World Cup, is not easy though because Egypt is a very good side.

''They lead in the group now but we are going to do whatever it takes to come back.”
