Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri is set to reward Kwadwo Asamoah with more playing time after the midfielder opted out of Ghana's squad for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.

The talented player was not part of the Black Stars' 26-man squad which was named by coach Avram Grant on Monday.

Asamoah, who had already opted out of the 2017 AFCON to remain with the Bianconeris even before Avram Grant named his squad, will be rewarded by Allegri is expected to reward the Ghanaian for his decision.

The Old Ladies will be without Mehdi Benatia and Mario Lemina who have joined Morocco and Gabon respectively for the AFCON tournament.

Trio Dani Alves, Alex Sandro and Leonardo Bonucci are on the road to recover from various degrees of injury and Asamoah will profit from the absence of the five key players.

Asamoah was struggling to return to full fitness following a series of knee injuries and it looks like he is keen on getting a position at Juventus while he recovers fully before returning for Ghana.

Ah Kojo, you have really disappointed me. In our history, you are the first player to do this. This is not good for your reputation. Rethink your decision, your future is involve. A word to the wise is enough.

I really do not blame kojo asamoah alone for this decision ,Stephen Appiah made a stunning revelation about Juve that led to his decision to leave and sign for Fanabache. Some of these teams can do anything to end your career including not giving you playing time.there could be more to this issue than we know.but asamoah needs to stand his grounds after all Juve is not the only team in the world.

Kojo is just recovering from a recurring knee injury and I suspect he is afraid the robust African game could endanger his path to full recovery. And mind you, a lot is expected from the team hence players would be required to engage auxiliary gears and I don't think Kojo is in the right physical condition for do and die games with Egypt, Mali and Uganda. We have axes to grind with Egypt and Uganda, coming out of the World Cup qualifiers and Mali are a traditional bogey side.
