Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has revealed Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah will not play a part in this weekend's game against Napoli as he continues his recovery.

The 27-year-old has been out for almost 2 – 3 weeks after suffering an injury on his right thigh in a Copa Italia game against Inter Milan in January.

Asamoah lifted hopes of an early return when he turned up for training a week earlier than expected but Allegri insists the Ghanaian will not be part of the team for this weekend.

“Chiellini and Mandzukic will continue to be monitored and Asamoah’s on the road to recovery,” Allegri is quoted by the Italian media

Asamoah has only been involved in four games for his club this season and in that space he has created four chances and an assist.
