Juventus reject €132 million offer from Manchester United for midfielder

Juventus have rejected a huge offer from Manchester United for star midfielder Paul Pogba as the transfer saga surrounding the Frenchman continues.

Pogba and the Red Devils have been heavily linked for weeks and it was thought that a deal would be reached soon as the player’s agent gave the green light for a transfer to the English Premier League.

New reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, suggest otherwise as the Bianconeri have declined a whopping €132 million offer for the 23-year-old Euro 2016 runner-up.

It also reported that Pogba would have signed a five-year contract worth €15 million for him per year, which would have made him the highest paid player in England a third highest worldwide, beaten only by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Jose Mourinho and United still have the rest of the summer transfer window to complete a deal to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford, after his stint with them as a youngster, however the current Serie A champions look unlikely to budge.
