Juventus are reported to have rejected a proposal from Bayer Leverkusen for Kwadwo Asamoah during the January transfer window.

Asamoah had been on the fringes because of his physical frailties and the Bundesliga side wanted to give him an escape route.

It has also been revealed that French Ligue 1 side Lyon enquired about his availability but they were promptly rejected.

Juventus are on the verge of handing the Ghana international a contract extension to 2020.

Asamoah has recaptured his verve and emerged as a solid back up for Alex Sandro.
