Juventus target former Real Madrid midfielder

Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Marseille midfielder Lassana Diarra.

Following Borussia Dortmund’s refusal to sell Juve’s preferred target Ilkay Gundogan, the Bianconeri club hierarchy have now selected Diarra as their primary objective for the January transfer window.

Tuttosport have confirmed the club’s interest in the player, stating that coach Massimiliano Allegri views the 30-year-old as an ideal addition to the squad.

The Ligue 1 side would probably sell the player for around â‚¬7 Million and he could be deployed in the Champions League, having not yet played in the competition so far this season.

Serie A rivals Inter have been also linked with the Frenchman recently, but lag behind Juventus in the race to sign him due to their lack of Champions League football.

If the Old Lady fail to entice Diarra to Turin, then they are also monitoring Sampdoria’s Roberto Soriano, as well as Chelsea’s Trequartista Oscar.
