Juventus' Serie A match against Atalanta was called off on Sunday due to heavy snowfall in Turin.

The reigning Italian champions were due to host the side from Bergamo at the Allianz Stadium, but officials announced the game was postponed shortly after the scheduled kick-off time of at 6 p.m. CET.

Juve confirmed on their official Twitter account that the game was off due to "adverse weather conditions."

The postponement denied Juventus the opportunity to at least temporarily overtake Serie A leaders Napoli, who were scheduled to face Cagliari later on Sunday.
