Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has hailed the return of Kaka to AC Milan – saying his inclusion is perfect for the side’s three-prone attacking system.

The Brazilian has made an emotional return to Milan following four unsuccessful years at Spanish giants Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Kaka comes in with enormous experience and his new teammate Muntari says the now very matured offensive midfielder will be vital to Milan’s attacking system.

“Kaka is more mature now and I am sure he’ll give us a big hand,” Muntari told the Milan Channel.

“He is one of the best trequartisti in the world and is able to create space for us to push up from midfield.

“We are a great group of players with many youngsters, but also a good selection of the old guard like Daniele Bonera, Christian Abbiati and Nigel De Jong to help strengthen the squad.

“My job and that of Nigel is to act as a filter, so before reaching the goal our opponents have to get through us first. It’s an important role, which is why fitness levels always have to be 100 per cent.”
