German-born would-be Ghanaian Karim Bellarabi continue to cement his place in the Bayer Leverkusen regulars squad as he set up a goal in their 6-0 annihilation of seventh-tier side Alemannia Waldalgesheim in a first round tie of the German Cup on Friday evening. 

The 24-year-old who spent last season on loan at relegated Eintracht Braunschweig lasted the entire duration of the game at the Stadion am Bruchweg in Mainz and turned the architect in the 59th minute when he set up 5-goal hero Stefan Kießling.

Bellarabi neatly laid a defense-splitting pass for the 30-year-old German who paced through to thump home from close range to grab his fifth goal of the night.

The attacking midfielder has been courted by English  side West Bromwich Albion in the past is eager to win a place in Roger Schmidt's squad for the upcoming German Bundesliga season as he enters into his fifth season with the club.
