Kashiwa Reysol sign Kim Bo-kyung

Kashiwa: Korea Republic midfielder and AFC Champions League winner Kim Bo-kyung has joined Japan’s Kashiwa Reysol from Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors, it has been announced. 

The move signals a return to Japan and the J.League for the 27-year-old who launched his professional career with Cerezo Osaka in 2010, ahead of a move to Cardiff City two years later.

Subsequent transfers to Wigan Athletic and Matsumoto Yamaga FC followed, before Kim’s services were secured by Korea Republic giants Jeonbuk where he went on to play a key role in the side’s 2016 AFC Champions League title success.

Kashiwa Reysol are currently top of the J.League standings, two points ahead of second-placed Cerezo Osaka.

Kim first represented Korea Republic at the 2008 AFC U-19 Championship and has gone on to amass 35 caps for his country at senior level.
