Prince Owusu has kept his calm as he continues to find a way to keep Medeama's season alive in the Premier League title race.

The Yellow and Mauves didn't shift out of gear as they posted a narrow 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals at home on Wednesday to jump to third on the table.

Midfield maestro Kwesi Donsu racked in his 9th goal of the season, seven through free-kicks as the Confederation Cup campaigners completed the double over the scientific soccer lads.

However, Medeama's fine form has been clouded by Hearts of Oak's surging run in the top-flight with the attention of the media firmly glazed on the Phobians and the recent troubles of giants Asante Kotoko.

But Medeama could pose serious threat to the title ambition of the two giants, as they continue to lurk with superlative displays on the domestic scene.

Coach Prince Owusu, hugely regarded as chief talent spotter, has been at the centre of a rejuvenated side, who could cause a massive football earthquake in the title race this term.

"I'm happy with how things are going," the former Tema Youth coach said "But I'm not naive. I know that there will be difficult moments. There have been some already, and one needs to know how to approach them. I'm continuing to learn and move forward."

Using his experience, his message has reverberated with players and intensified harmony in the changing room.

"I'm not worried about what is yet to happen. I'm focused on going day by day" Owusu said

"There have been and will be difficult moment but you have to stay calm, there's no need to drive yourself crazy. It's all part of football."

Medeama will catapult into second position, with a just a point behind current leaders Hearts if they win their outstanding League game at Wa All Stars.

The two-time Ghanaian FA Cup holders will host Tanzanian champions Young Africans in the fourth group A game of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup on Tuesday.

The West Africans are not out of the woods yet despite lying third on the table with two points from two games.
