Kenichi sticks knife into Hearts, tips Kotoko for league title

Ex-Hearts coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has backed Kotoko to clinch the Ghana Premier League crown this season.

The Japanese trainer, who left the capital-based side on mutual ground, believes the Porcupine Warriors hold the aces in the title race.

Hearts recorded a narrow 1-0 win over Dreams FC while Kotoko sniffed off a point at Techiman City on Sunday, to leave them two points behind their sworn-rivals in third place.

But former coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi has backed Hearts' rivals to clinch the title.

“No one knows the future but Kotoko have one of best quality players currently in the league, so I can’t rule them out,” Kenichi told Goal.

“They did well to come back to where the supporters wanted after a very difficult start, and I believe with the right approach and togetherness, they can win the title."
