Liberty Professionals have been boosted for the second half of the Ghana Premier League with the return of offensive midfielder Kennedy Ashia.

Ashia left the club in August and joined Norwegian top-flight side SK Brann on a six-month loan deal after impressing at the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup in Turkey.

The 20-year-old was a bench warmer during his spell in the Norwegian Eliteserien and failed to end a permanent deal.

Ashia will replace Joseph Mensah who has joined Czech side Slavia Prague.

“I am really glad Kennedy is back with us again and I think he will replace Mensah going into the second round,'' Liberty coach George Lamptey is quoted by the Graphic Sports.

Ashia was Liberty Professionals top scorer last season with 14 goals.
