Schalke 04 were without Kevin Boateng in Bremen triumph

Schalke 04 recorded their maiden Bundesliga win of the season with an inspiring 3-0 triumph over Werder Bremen on Tuesday night at the Weserstadion while Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng is serving suspension. 

The 27-year-old watched the game from home the Royal Blues menacingly posted a comfortable win over Bremen.

Max Meyer, Neustädter and Tranquillo Barnetta all produced goals in the second-half to ensure Schalke managed a handsome win at Bremen to end their winless run in the Bundesliga.

Schalke were without a win since the start of the Bundesliga season and manager Jens Keller had to make his squad for the trip without Ghana's Kevin Boateng who is serving a ban after receiving a red card during the weekend.

But his side displayed a masterclass performance to claim their first maximum points of the season.
