Kevin Boateng's superb volley for Las Palmas is contender for "Puskas Goal of the Year"

Kevin-Prince Boateng's stunnig goal for Las Palmas in their 2-1 defeat to Villareal is a contender for the 'Puskas Goal of the Year'.

The Ghanaian player scored a true work of art, easily enter the fray for the Puskas Award for the best goal of the year.

Intricate build up on the edge of the box between Jonathan Viera and Vicente Gomez saw the visitors work the ball well to find a way into the area to Tana, who produced a superb back-heel volley to Boateng, who flung himself in the air and found the bottom corner with a stunning improvised finish.

The well-travelled midfielder - who has played for the likes of Portsmouth, AC Milan and Tottenham - was mobbed by his team-mates after netting his third goal for the club since he joined in the summer.
