Kevin-Prince Boateng hit with two-match ban

AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has been slapped with a two-match ban by the Italian football authorities.

The Ghana international was handed the ban for insulting a match official while his coach Maximiliano Allegri tried to hold him off.

Boateng was shown the red card after he was substituted in Saturday’s game against Roma.

The sending off came after he insulted the linesman after he was substituted when he suffered an ankle injury.

Boateng will thus miss matches against Catania and Fiorentina.
