Kevin-Prince Boateng has reported for pre-season training with German Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
The midfielder will join the Schalke’s intensive ten-day summer training camp in the Bavarian town of Grassau on Monday in order to optimally prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Boateng, who was thrown out of Ghana’s squad at the World Cup for allegedly insulting head coach Kwesi Appiah, was given extended holidays.
He faces a stiff opposition from Max Meyer for the number 10 position and the Ghana international must convince coach Jens Keller.
Last season, he scored six goals in 28 Bundesliga matches to help them secure a Champions League spot.
