German-born Kevin-Prince Boateng trained on Ghanaian soil for the first time on Tuesday, one year after switching nationality to play for the West African country.

The 24-year-old arrived in the country on Monday night and trained with the side during a hectic session at the Ohene Djan Stadium.

The former German youth international reported with a physical trainer from the Milan medical team.

The AC Milan midfielder was the star attraction during the Black Stars final training session ahead of their departure for Kumasi on Wednesday.

Boateng, a star the 2010 Fifa World Cup finals, was aggressive at training and likely to earn a starting role on the right wing of midfield.

Boateng has never played on the soil of Ghana after snubbing Germany to play for the Black Stars last year.

The Group I game against Congo will be his first since his nationality switch last year.

He won the Scudetto with Milan this term and had his future sorted by the club.

Boateng must now win over Ghana fans after his missing of several Ghana home matches led to a massive backlash from the fans.
