King Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Grusah has targeted this year’s MTN FA Cup trophy after progressing to the semi-final on Sunday.

The Kumasi-based side drew 1-1 in regulation time and triumphed 5-3 on penalties at Aduana Stars.

Faisal chalked the win with ten men after defender Emmanuel Ampiah was red carded in the 53rd minute.

“The game was not an easy one I must admit but we did our best knowing that we could still make it into the next stage despite being a goal down,” Grusah said.

“The players are committed and we are having a unique chance of winning the MTN FA cup for the first time so we are well motivated.

“We will continue to remain focus as we work towards getting into the finals."

King Faisal have now joined premier league rivals Inter Allies and Asante Kotoko in the last four.
