King Faisal striker Sulley Mohamed is delighted to have earned a call-up to Ghana’s U20 team.
The bulky striker has been rewarded for his decent performance for the Local Black Stars after been named a provisional 30-man squad released by coach Sellas Tetteh.
Mohammed could find himself playing a part in his country’s African Cup qualifying campaign and admits he is excited at the prospect of playing alongside some of the finest players in the West African country.
“I am very thrilled with the opportunity to impress the coach,” Mohammed said
“The call-up is a fantastic reward for my performance start to the season but I know I’m not the finished article. I’ve got to go there and prove myself and hopefully I can get my chance.
“I’m not getting carried away as I know I still need to work hard.”
Mohammed was member of the Ghana squad which played at this year’s CHAN tournament in South Africa where the team won silver.
