Kingson ready to move on after Congo blunder

Ghana first choice goalkeeper Richard Kingson is keen on fighting for his place in the Black Stars despite the blunder during Friday's clash with Congo.

The ex-Blackpool shot-stopper has been under fire for his mistake that gave Congo their consolation goal in the Nations Cup qualifier.

This came just few days after he threatened to quit the Black Stars after a fan verbally abused him during Ghana's training session in Accra.

The error in Kumasi has piled pressure on Kingson and even though he is sorry for the mistake Kingson told Kickoff he is keen on improving in future matches.

"I don't want to talk about it but I was so sad and up until now," Kingson said.

"It's part of the game but I have to sacrifice a few things and look forward to the future."

Kingson has led the Black Stars to several successes in recent times including a place at the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in Angola last year.

He was the key shot-stopper when Ghana reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup in South Africa last year.
