Kingston explains signing for Hearts of Oak for free

Laryea Kingston claims he refused a financial package from Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak because he remains forever ''indebted'' to the club for aiding his career.

The 30-year-old a two-month a deal with the former African champions as a free agent and demanded fuel coupons a signing on fee.

"I decided not to take any money from the club as a mark of appreciation for what the club has done for me over the years," Kingston told Citi Sports.

"It's important I stay fit as I prepare to move abroad. There are so many great players who have returned home to play for clubs. Brazilians Robinho, Adriano and others returned to Brazil to rediscover themselves and went back to Europe."

He should be available for Premier League action this Sunday at Wa All Stars.
