Ronald Koeman admits Everton will be forced to sell Ross Barkley if he doesn't sign a new contract with the club.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at Goodison Park in the summer of 2018 but is yet to put pen to an extension.
Barkley is being linked with a potential transfer to Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and even Arsenal.
"We offer him a new contract, and then (there are) two possibilities," Koeman said after Sunday's 4-2 win over Leicester City.
"One, he signs that contract, if he doesn't sign that contract then we need to sell the player.
"It's simple - it's not so difficult in my opinion."
