Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak are set for the replay of the 2017 President’s following torrential rains which stopped the game on Sunday afternoon.

A heavy storm that his Kumasi on Sunday afternoon forced the game to an abrupt end in the 68th minute when the score line was 1-1.

Following the Referee Willian Agbovi’s decision to end the game, both clubs had hinted their unavailability for the replay of the game this afternoon.

Hearts assistant coach Henry Willington who handled the team during the game had revealed at the post-match presser that his head coach Frank Nuttal only gave him a plan for Sunday’s game and not Monday’s.

"Frank Nutall gave me a program before leaving. It doesn't include a game tomorrow,” Willinton said after the game.

Kotoko coach Steve Pollack had also protested insisting his players will not be ready for the game.

"My players are not ready to play again tomorrow while we have a midweek league game on Wednesday,” Pollack noted.

But GHALCA Executives together with high ranking members of the clubs had the coaches agreeing to replay the game on Monday (Today).

Both clubs have agreed to replay the match on July 3, at 3:00 pm local time with both sides sharing today’s gate proceeds equally.

By the time of stoppage yesterday, the score line was 1-1. Saddick Adams got Kotoko a deserved lead in the 26th minute from a penalty after Obed Owasu was brought down inside the box by Leonard Tawiah.

Vicent Atinga restored parity for the Phobians with instinctive strike on the in the 51th minute.

The two sworn rivals will be facing each other in less than an hour for the replay of the game.
