Asante Kotoko beat BA United 3-0 at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday to prepare for Sunday's Ghana Premier League visit to Heart of Lions.
Seidu Bancey, Issah Yakubu and Ransford Osei were on target for the defending league champions.
Bancey was first to score after 22 minutes of action before midfielder Yakubu doubled the lead 20 minutes later
Striker Osei made it 3-0 exactly ten minutes after recess.
Kotoko need a win at Kpando on Wednesday to keep their title defence hopes alive.
BA United used the match to prepare for their Division One League promotional play-offs.
