Asante Kotoko’s Deputy Operations manager Ali Maradona insists the management is firmly behind coach David Duncan amidst reports he will be replaced.

The former Hearts of Oak coach has come under pressure following his side’s barren title haul at the end of the season.

The Kumasi-based side aside losing their Premier League and FA Cup crown to AshantiGold and Medeama respectively also failed to land the President’s Cup and the Otumfour Cup as well.

News of David Duncan’s imminent departure is given further credence following the arrival of Tommy Nielsen Moller to take up a job as the club’s technical director.

But Kotoko’s Deputy Operations Manager Ali Maradona has quashed these reports – insisting Duncan has the full backing of management.

“The management has given David Duncan 100% support they will be working with him until the end of his contract, which is two-years,” he told Asempa FM.

“If it comes to a point for Duncan to leave prematurely, the entire management will follow him.

“That is the promise we have given to Duncan and we intend to stand by hit to the end.”

Duncan only became coach of Asante Kotoko six months ago after replacing Didi Dramani following a string of poor results.
