Asante Kotoko handed GH5000 (almost $2000) to goalkeeper Isaac Amoako to rent a new residential apartment.

The Ghana international’s previous rented apartment in Kumasi was gutted down by fire on his return from the CHAN tournament where he helped the Black Stars to a runner’s up finish in South Africa.

The 30-year-old has however been bailed out by the club with a financial package to get a new apartment.

Amoako reveals his new place of residence is even better than his former – thanking the club and it’s fans for their contribution towards alleviating his plight.

“I was given GHC 5000 by the Kotoko board to get a new place which is even better than my former place of residence,” he told Metro FM.

“Other individuals and supporters of Kotoko have contributed during my time of need also.

“I am so proud to be a part of this great club and it is during times like these that you really see how great the club is.”
