Kotoko board rejects new CEO reports

Asante Kotoko Executive Chairman Kofi Kodua Sarpong has ended speculations about the imminent appointment of a new Chief Executive.

The former Chairman of Ghana's Oil Refinery leads an 11-man board of directors charged to return the club winning ways.

Reports have linked AshantiGold FC Chief Executive Kudjoe Fianoo to head the Asante Kotoko management team.

But the new man in-charge has dismissed the rumours saying they have no intentions of disbanding the current management team anytime soon.

"It cannot be true so the supporters should ignore it," KK Sarpong rubbished those reports in an interview with the Daily Graphic.

"Examining the state of affairs will let us know whether there is the need for a new management or a new coach.

"This will end before 14 June, after which who becomes the head of management will be tackled."
