Asante Kotoko captain Michael Akuffo has hailed the club’s collective effort in winning their third successive Premier League title.

The Porcupine Warriors retained their top flight crown following an impressive 2-1 win over relegation-threatened New Edubiase on Wednesday in Berkwai.

The vital win sees Kotoko build an unassailable lead at the top of the premiership table with two matches to spare.

Akuffo who took over the captain’s armband from defender Ohene Brenya at the start of the season says he cannot single out any individual for praise over their success.

“It was a collective effort and I would like to congratulate the whole team for this feat,” he told Metro FM.

“The players, coaches and the fans. I cannot single anyone out because we won this league as a team.”

Kotoko will be returning to the CAF Champions League next season once more again as champions from Ghana.
