Kotoko captain Nti Boakye not concerned by lack of goals

Asante Kotoko striker Kofi Nti Boakye is not concerned by his lack of goals at the start of the season.

The 25-year-old was phenomenal in the off-season where scored many goals for the defending Premier League champions

He has scored three times in eight matches this season, raising concerns about his lack of goal-scoring rate.

But the former Heart of Lions and Liberty Professionals man says only good performances should be taken into account, not the number of goals.

“I am the captain of Kotoko and so the collective victory of the team is  paramount,” Boakey said

“It’s not about scoring. We want to win and that’s most important.”
