Chief executive officer of Kotoko Opoku Nti, says reports linking ex-striker Seidu Bancey with a return to the club are highly inaccurate.

Bancey, returned to the country following a frustrating spell with Egyptian side Smouha.

Reports have linked the ex-Ebusua Dwrafs striker with a return to Kotoko, where he scored 12 goals to help them retain the league title last season and also scored in the FA cup triumph over Inter Allies.

But Opoku has rubbished claims Bancey is close to a return to the club.

“I do not know where some people get their information from but I don’t think we are set to re-signing Bancey,” Opoku Nti told Ghanasoccernet.com

“We had some discussions with his agent but that was it, he even hinted the player will go abroad again.

“So as far as I concerned there is no deal that will bring Bancey back at the moment.”
