Kotoko coach David Duncan backs Eddie Ansah to save 'sinking' Hearts

Kotoko coach David Duncan is backing Eddie Ansah to keep the club in the Ghanaian top-flight despite their precarious position on the league table.

The capital-based side sunk deep into the relegation trap net after their 2-2 defeat at home against the champions on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors who showed tremendous mental toughness to recover from the trauma of being attacked by armed men hours before the game.

Kotoko’s victory in Accra powers them to 8th on the league table on 35 points and has them challenging for a top four finish despite recent challenges.

Hearts of Oak meanwhile are submerged on 15th position with 29 points and face a real possibility of going down.

But David Duncan says Eddie Ansah is more than capable of saving the sinking Phobian ship.

“My good friend Eddie Ansah I am confident is more than able to keep the team up,” Duncan said after the game

“Hearts of Oak is a big game and I am confident that they will be able to find a solution to their situation.”

Hearts will take on Liberty in their next game on Wednesday as they aim to return to winning ways.
