Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan insists he is the right man to lead the club despite doubts about his credentials.
Duncanââ¬â¢s credential is being questioned as his coaching career is without a league title from his days at Great Olympics, Sekondi Hasaacas, AshantiGold and Hearts of Oak.
ââ¬ÅI think when my time comes I will win it. In 2003, I had the opportunity of coaching Kotoko, which I know I would have won the league with them but I rejected it,â⬠Duncan said in a post match interview after Wednesdayââ¬â¢s 4-0 win over Heart of Lions.
ââ¬ÅGo and check my records, I take the jobs people run away from. I saved many teams from relegation. Who would have taken the Olympics of 2002, the Hearts of Oak of 2013, but I took them and rescued them from relegation.
"People should be praising me but they are rather castigating me. I attained my CAF instructor certificate in 2005, with Osam Duodu. If you like go and check, sometimes I prefer to be quite. I am yet to win the league, but I have won many trophies against Kotoko and Hearts."
