Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan insists he is the right man to lead the club despite doubts about his credentials.

Duncan’s credential is being questioned as his coaching career is without a league title from his days at Great Olympics, Sekondi Hasaacas, AshantiGold and Hearts of Oak.

“I think when my time comes I will win it. In 2003, I had the opportunity of coaching Kotoko, which I know I would have won the league with them but I rejected it,” Duncan said in a post match interview after Wednesday’s 4-0 win over Heart of Lions.

“Go and check my records, I take the jobs people run away from. I saved many teams from relegation. Who would have taken the Olympics of 2002, the Hearts of Oak of 2013, but I took them and rescued them from relegation.

"People should be praising me but they are rather castigating me. I attained my CAF instructor certificate in 2005, with Osam Duodu. If you like go and check, sometimes I prefer to be quite. I am yet to win the league, but I have won many trophies against Kotoko and Hearts."
