Kotoko coach David Duncan has hailed the mental fortitude of his side after their 2-1 win over rivals Kotoko in the Super clash on Sunday.

A brace from striker Dauda Mohammed was enough to hand the Porcupine Warriors the deserved victory over the capital-based side.

The players and officials endured a nightmarish time after they were robbed on a day before the clash at the Accra sports stadium.

But the team looked rejuvenated as they dished out an impressive performance against the Phobians in the capital and sent their rivals deep into the relegation zone.

Kotoko coach David Duncan was impressed with the mental toughness of his team.

“At the initial stages we didn’t really see the team clearly on top. I taught Hearts played very well and it didn’t reflect on the league log and the fans had a worth for their money, they dominated and at a point we took over,” he said

“I think at some point the adversity we suffered in the morning affected the team some way somehow we managed to get over it and Hearts played very well but they were unfortunate to lose especially when they pulled the goal that we have scored from the early part of the second half and I taught they could have built from that to punish us.
