Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan is still unhappy with his side’s conversion rate despite beating leaders AshantiGold 1-0 in the Ashanti Classic derby.

The struggling defending champions squandered a lot scoring opportunities with young striker Dauda Mohammed being the worst culprit.

Midfielder Frank Sarfo Gyamfi headed in Eric Donkor’s corner-kick on 25 minutes to end their two-match losing streak.

Ducnan said: “It didn’t come easy it is the kind of performance that has charactized our play. Matches that we are supposed to win, we throw them away. Last week, it was about Sogakope (against WAFA) and I expressed a similar sentiment.

“My worry is the chances that we are not taking. It is a playback of what I have been talking about.”

Kotoko must correct all that ahead of visiting perennial rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League Super Clash derby.

The Porcupine Warriors were beaten 1-0 at home by the Phobians back in February and have vowed to go for revenge.
